The recent sad case of a 11-year-old commuting suicide because of fear of exam grades casts further light on the stresses of the education system. There has been an increase in such cases last year. Latest figures show that last year, there were 27 suicides among 10- to 19-year-olds – a 15-year high. This was double the 2014 figure. Such worrying statistics point to the need for urgent change.
